Ontology-Enriched Query Answering on Relational Databases

We develop a flexible, open-source framework for query answering on relational databases by adopting methods and techniques from the Semantic Web community data exchange community, we apply this to medical use case. first deploy module-extraction derive concise relevant sub-ontology an external reference ontology. then chase procedure materialize universal solution that can be subsequently used answer queries enterprise database. Along way, identify new class of well-behaved acyclic EL-ontologies extended with role hierarchies, suitably restricted functional roles, domain/range restrictions, which cover our show such ontologies are C-stratified, implies terminates in polynomial time. provide detailed overview real-life application domain demonstrate benefits approach, as discovering additional answers formulating queries.
